The 2005 Ford Freestar was first introduced in 2004. This minivan replaced the Windstar. It has the capability of hauling 7 passengers or 4 passengers and lots of cargo. It gets 17-18 mpg in the city and 23-24 mpg on the highway. The third row seat can disappear into the floor for extra cargo and storage. This vehicle has a Class II towing package. The V-6 engine provides a quite, smooth ride.

Options for this vehicle include a tire pressure monitoring system and self-sealing tires. There are many safety features and it received the Best Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

The third row seating also flips for rear facing tailgate seating. This comes with head protecting curtain side airbags. This feature for all 3 seats is optional.
